Mechuka also known as Menchuka is a smal town situated 6000 feet above sea level in the Mechuka Valley in Shi-Yomi District of Arunachal Pradesh .The name Men-Chu-Kha stands for a myth surrounding the natural elements of the valley, Men in their local language means Medicine, Chu is water and, Kha is Snow meaning "The Land where the water and snow works as medicine for both the body and soul".
